Take 2 onions, chop them & transfer into a blender, add chopped garlic & ginger and grind them. Keep the paste in a bowl.
Heat 4-5 tsp of oil in a pan; add shahi jeera, biryani leaf, cloves, cardamom, onion paste saute well.
Now add turmeric powder saute well & cook for about 5 min with out closing the lid, so that the raw taste of onion removed.
Now add tomato paste stir thoroughly & cook for about 10 min. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala stir well and cook for 5 more min.
