Putnala Janthikalu (Roasted Bengal Gram Flour Murukulu)

  • 2 cups Putnala podi (Roasted Bengal Gram Flour)
  • 1 cup Senaga pindi (Gram Flour)
  • 1 tsp Ajwain seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Chilli powder as required
  • Oil as required
  • Water to mix the flour
  1. In a bowl add Putnala podi, Senaga pindi, ajwain seeds, salt, chilli powder, mix well and add water as need.

  2. Make into a soft dough.

  3. Now take the murukulu press add the dough into it and press on top into the oil and make a round. Fry till light golden brown colour then remove.

  4. Heat the oil in a pan.

  5. Take the small dough, place it in murukula presser, Then press it on top of the oil and make a round.  Fry till light golden brown and then remove.
