Onion is the main ingredient for our Paneer masala curry, that’s why I named it as Paneer pyaz masala or paneer onion masala. It is another south Indian curry. We need to use large chopped onions to get the good taste.
Cut the Paneer into equal cubes, Finely cut 1 onion, another one cut into 4 pieces and separate the layers.
Finely chop 1 tomato, and make tomato puree with other two.
Heat 1spoon oil in a pan, shallow fry the layered onion pieces and transfer them to a plate.
Heat the oil in a pan, add cloves, cumin seeds, bay leaf and the chopped onions. Fry them on a low flame till it gets transparent.
Add Green chili, grated ginger, ginger garlic paste and saute it for a minute.
Add chopped tomatoes and puree, then saute it for some more time.
Then add turmeric, chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, salt and mix well.
Add paneer cubes, shallow fried onion pieces and 1/2 cup of water. Mix well and cook it for 10min in medium flame.
Add coriander leaves and switch off the stove.
