  1. Take pressure cooker, transfer cleaned red gram, add sufficient water, pinch of turmeric powder, chopped spinach & 2-3 green chilli, little tamarind mix well & close the lid of pressure cooker & allow to come 2-3 viscles.

  2. Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan; add mashed garlic saute for 1 min, add dry red chilli, now add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, turmeric powder, hing saute for 1 more min.
  3. Pour the mixture into the dal stir well, adjust salt & water cook for 5-10 min on medium flame.
  4. Now palak dal is ready to serve. Serve it with rice or roti.
