Gongura Royyalu – Sorrel Leaves Prawns

  • 1 cup Gongura Leaves (Sorrel Leaves)
  • 250 grms Royyalu (Prawns)
  • 2 no's Green Chilly
  • 1 cup Onion paste
  • 2 tbsp Red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • Oil for deep fry
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 no's Garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp Mustard & Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  1. Clean the Prwans (Royyalu), and add Ginger garlic paste, Chilli powder and salt to it. Marinate it for some time.

  2. Deep fry the marinated prawns.

  3. In another pan heat oil and fry the Garlic cloves, Mustard & Cumin seeds, Green chillies, Onion paste and Turmeric powder.

  4. After some time add the fried prawns and Gongura Leaves (Sorrel Leaves).

  5. Add cup of water, salt and remained chilly powder. Cook it for 10 min in low flame. 

  6. Add garamasala mix well and cook till the shirmp is done.
