Chettinad Mutton Curry

  1. Heat a pan; add cinnamon, clove, cardamom, anise, fennel, coriander seeds, red chilli, saute it for 2-3 min. Now add dry coconut powder saute for 3-4 min. Cool the mixture & grind it.

  2. Now heat 4 tsp of oil in a pressure cooker; add cinnamon, clove, fennel seeds, chopped onion saute for 3-4 min.
  3. To this add turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste saute well add chopped tomatoes saute well & cook for 5 min.
  4. Add salt, prepared masala powder & stir well.

  5. Now add the cleaned mutton stir it & cook for 5 min. Add salt to taste & red chilli powder stir well. Add required quantity of water close the lid of pressure cooker & allow it to come 3-4 viscles. Turn off the flame.
  6. Remove the lid add coriander powder, coriander leaves & serve hot with rice or roti.
